I thought Joaquin was getting so big until I put him in his high chair and he looked like this.

Joaquin, the jumper

Check it out.

Joaquin's favorite toy

We could buy every light and sound ever produced by Fisher-Price and Joaquin's Daddy would still be his favorite toy.

Treasure

I found this treasure on Javier's mother's camera. I love it.

This is so funny

Joaquin is so funny. He has decided that when he is asked a question, he should shake his head "no." While I was asking him these questions, I was shaking my head "yes," but I could not change his mind.

Joaquin's embracing his Colombian culture

In many cultures, including the Colombian culture, parents shave the heads of their babies in order to ensure that the hair will come in thick and strong. We made the decision to shave Joaquin's hair when he was closer to one year old, but recently, just like when his mommy was a baby, his hair started falling out very quickly. He was waking up with his sheets covered in hair daily, so we decided to go ahead and help him out. I promise he did not mind the process and he seems to be pretty happy with the result.

Let me explain!

I know the more recent pictures above these may be a little bit shocking, but let me explain. Just like his mommy, Joaquin was born with a beautiful, full head of black hair. One of the nurses even commented that he looked like he had an "old man haircut."

Happy baby

Here are a few pictures of Joaquin laughing and interacting yesterday.

What is that?!

I took these pictures yesterday and just noticed this one when I was reviewing them. I have no idea what he was reacting to.

An exciting trip to the doctor!

We went to see the pediatrician today and I couldn't decide which pictures to post, so I posted most of them. Enjoy! Everything's going well! By the way, that hat and scarf were knitted by Javier's mother. Thank you, Nona!
